When I was 10 years old, my family moved to a new house.
I went to a new school.
Almost everyday at the school, I was bullied.
My lunch was taken. Other boys teased and hit me.
I felt a lot of stress. Sometimes, I pretended to be sick and I stayed home from school.
Eventually, my father realized my situation. He sent me to a different school.
I was lucky. The children at that school were friendly and welcomed me.
I wasn’t bullied. I made many friends and enjoyed my school days.
I often hear that bullying is a big problem in schools in Japan.
What do you think?
I think that Japanese children spend a lot of time at school. Even a small problem at school has a big effect on their minds.
